AROUND 30 public-spirited volunteers — and three dogs — joined the Cumnock Action Plan team for a clean up at Woodroad Park on Saturday, April 7.
As well as collecting and filling 26 bags of rubbish, they also had an Easter egg hunt for the children taking part as well as scattering thousands of wild flower seeds.
Neil Given said: “On behalf of Cumnock Action Plan, I would like to thank the many volunteers who turned up — I lost count after there were a few latecomers.
“Thousands of seeds were spread across a wide area of woodland as well as the park itself.
“A big thanks also to the Corra Foundation for providing 28 Easter eggs for the kids and a cuppa for the adults.”
Cheryl Hynd said she enjoyed the great company and is looking forward to seeing the flowers coming up.
Marion Clifford added: “Well done. If everyone who visited the park picked up three pieces of litter it would make a massive difference.”
