MASON KIDD
We devote December’s review to a remarkable young man from Cumnock.
Mason Kidd performed 18 acts of kindness in memory of his brother Ross, who died of cancer aged two and would have turned 18 on December 1.
Pupils from both his former and current schools, Barshare Primary and Cumnock Academy got behind his venture, Kidd Kindness.
Number 18 on his list was to raise as much money as he could for the Schiehallion Appeal, which supports the Glasgow Children’s Hospital.
He raised £10,000 in just 30 days and travelled to the hospital to present the cheque in person.
Mason said: “The biggest thank you ever to my family, friends, schools, community and everyone who has made this possible. What everyone has helped me achieve is mind blowing and I am so so proud of where I come from.”
