CO-OP Funeralcare in Cumnock have thanked the local community for their generosity after the support they received for the Support our Soldiers appeal.
The funeral directors have put together 21 boxes filled with a range of items – including a small Christmas gift – after donations were made by the public.
A spokesperson for Co-op Funeralcare in Cumnock said: “Many thanks to the kind donations from everyone who handed stuff in to Co-op Funeralcare Cumnock. We are sending away 21 boxes in total this year.
“They are going away this week to the charity – Support our Soldiers – who will then send them on for us so we are not sure exactly where they will end up. They could be sent to Iraq, Estonia, South Sudan, Afghanistan or the Falklands.”
