THERE were some spooky goings on in Cumnock Old Cemetery on Saturday afternoon.
Cumnock Action Plan (CAP) and Cumnock History Group got together to organise a Halloween litter pick to give the place a good tidy-up.
Volunteers were also treated to a spooky tour by Rab the Gravedigger who pointed out some well known names in Cumnock such as John Baird and Alexander Peden.
Neil Given, from CAP, said: “On Saturday, we had a Halloween litter pick event at the old cemetery in Cumnock in partnership with Cumnock History Group.
“Rab the grave digger (Bobby Grierson) took volunteers on a spooky tour of the graveyard before the volunteer got down to work cleaning up.
“Afterwards, everybody enjoyed some teas and coffees with some sausage rolls and cakes in at the Barrhill Centre.
“CAP would like to thank all the volunteers for coming along and not letting a wet morning stop them having a little fun and Cumnock history group for a fantastic tour of the graveyard.”
