SPORT took over at Doon Academy when they staged a Girls Active Day in conjunction with Women’s Sport Week 2017.
The event was one of a series introduced by Sportscotland to actively encourage girls to be involved in sport.
An open invite to take part was extended to the 100 girls who attend the school and the response was excellent.
A spokesman for Doon Academy said: “The aim was to work alongside some coaches, try out different sports — and have a lot of fun.
“Girls Active Day started with a morning of activity to encourage motivate and inspire our young athletes to take part in sport.
“Some of our senior girls were involved in coordinating the day and all female teachers were encouraged and invited to attend during their free periods.
“It was a great opportunity for the girls and we are hopeful that it had a long term impact on their future.”
