ORGANISERS and visitors to the Boswell Book Festival have hailed this year as the best ever.
Festival Director Caroline Knox said: “Highlights would have to include George Dunn and Hal Gardner, decorated veterans of Bomber Command talking across the generations or the child whose Mardi Gras Mask said The Best Day Of My Life.
“We have been bowled over by the positive feedback we have had already, both locally and from all over Britain about all the marvellous talks and events that our authors, artists, illustrators, actors and musicians have brought to East Ayrshire.
“None of this would have been possible without Louis MacCallum and his wonderful team at Dumfries House whose skills and support have meshed in perfectly with those of Ghislaine Kennerley’s and her army of festival volunteers — ensuring the amazingly smooth running of this major Scottish cultural event.
“I think most would agree that this, our seventh Boswell Book Festival has been the best ever.”
