A POLL has named Billy Connolly as the man Glasgow Airport should be renamed after.
Other airports, including George Best Belfast City Airport and Liverpool John Lennon Airport, have chosen to honour their homegrown celebrities.
The survey founf that 56 per cent of respondents thought The Big Yin was the best candidate, while actor Stanley Baxter came in second, with 11 per cent of the overall votes, and daytime TV favourite Lorraine Kelly followed with eight per cent.
There have been calls in the past for Glasgow Prestwick International to be renamed with Robert Burns International being floated as a potential in recent years.
