AYRSHIRE is set for unbelievable snow shower as May approaches.
The Met Office have issued a warning of snow for Ayrshire until 11pm on Thursday.
Police are warning drivers niot to be caught off guard as the late snow falls gets set to take hold.
A post on the Ayrshire Police Divion Facebook page said: "We would encourage everyone to take care when out and about and to look after vulnerable friends, family and neighbours in affected areas.
"Drivers are encouraged to review the #DriveSafe advice on our website which includes useful information on driving in snow: http://www.scotland.police.uk/…/travel-advi…/winter-driving/
"Anyone with specific concerns or questions is asked to contact us by calling 101 (in an emergency always dial 999)."
The A77/M77 at Fenwick and the A760 Largs to Kilbirnie roads have already been affected by snow but remain open.
