Ian Macartney who cycled over 11,000 miles around New Zealand is speaking for the Royal Scottish Geographical Society.
The next talk in the Inspiring People illustrated public talk series will take place in Ayr on 26th November. Ian Macartney who spent thirteen years cycling around New Zealand will be telling audiences about his experiences. On his travels, Macartney, cycled over 11,000 miles to virtually every community in the two islands. With the backdrop of spectacular landscapes he details fascinating stories of Scots who made a considerable mark in their new homeland, celebrating successes as well as stunning failures.
Macartney’s talk will take place on Wednesday 26th November in the council chambers of Ayr Town Hall, New Bridge Street at 7:30pm. All talks in the Inspiring People series cost £8 admission or are free for RSGS members. For more information please call RSGS on 01738 455050.
