NETHERTHIRD Community Garden will receive a grand opening this Saturday with Cumnock Citizen of the Year Francene Phillips to cut the ribbon.
The garden has been developed by the Netherthird Community Development Group and they will throwing open the gates to the garden on Saturday, June 22 between 1pm and 3pm.
The garden, which is behind Netherthird Primary School has been developed with help from Cumnock and Doon Valley Minerals Trust, Score Environmental, Brag Enterprises, Dumfries House Community Awards, First Port, Banks Group Community Fund, CVS Voluntary Action Fund, Central Scotland Green Network, and East Ayrshire Council.
The group also have their plants for sale which were grown in their own poly tunnel.
All money raised from the sales will be reinvested back into the garden and will help with funding community projects.
Plants will be on sale every day from 2pm until 5pm.
