YOBS left young Auchinleck internet users terrified last Thursday when they hurled stones, abuse and vile threats at yipworld.com staff.

The four yobs yelled at yipworld employees to pack up and get the TARDIS (mobile internet resource base) out of village before pelting it with concrete missiles.

School pupils were forced to leave the van for their own safety when bricks were launched at the van and staff parked at Church Street last Thursday night between 8.30 and 8.45pm.

The TARDIS allowed young people across the area an opportunity to catch up with friends, browse the internet and have a go of the Nintendo Wii. But now Director of yipworld.com, Janice Hendry says she has no option but to pull out TARDIS from the village.

Ms Hendry said: "This is the second time a small minority have forced us to withdraw from Auchinleck. No one was hurt but the TARDIS has been damaged. There's a big dent on the back. I don't even want to imagine what could have happened if the stones they were throwing had hit a young service user or member of staff."
