MODEL rail enthusiasts from across Ayrshire and beyond flocked to the Scottish Maritime Museum on Saturday for one of the highlights of their annual events calendar.
The Kilmarnock and District Model Railway Club welcomed a record footfall for the event on Saturday and Sunday as enthusiasts of all ages took in the intricate layouts and snapped up new additions for their own creations.
For the first time the show included a range of craft stalls in addition to the well-established trade stalls, and the new dimension to the event made sure there was plenty to enjoy even for those who don’t count model trains as their hobby.
A spokesperson for the club said: “Our thanks go out to the staff of the Scottish Maritime Museum for their help and assistance.
“Our main thanks, however, must go to you, the public, who have once again made the effort to attend the exhibition and make it a great day out for everyone involved.
“We hope to welcome you all back again next year.”
