FORMER Craigmark Secretary Tom Farrell says reports stating he had retired from the committee are untrue.

The Dalmellington club had announced a large turn-out at their Annual General Meeting had produced 16 new committee members, but had said that Mr Farrell - who had been on the committee for over 40 years - had retired.

The 72-year-old insists that was never the case and insists he was voted out of the committee and replaced by new incumbent Elaine Wilson.

He now says relations between him and the club are at a low ebb and he is unlikely to return.
