X Factor winner and chart topper Alexandra Burke is to perform live at Ayr Racecourse in June.

The singing sensation will appear after racing on Saints and Sinners Night on June 18 complete with her own dancers and will perform her hits including the number ones 'Bad Boys' and 'Hallelujah'.

Alexandra will appear on a mobile stage outdoors at the course and a crowd of more than 10,000 is expected to turn out to see the star.

The 2008 X Factor winner will take to the stage after racing at around 10.00 pm and perform a 30 minute set.

Ayr Racecourse Marketing Manager Lindsey Smith said : "We are naturally thrilled to be able to attract a star of Alexandra Burke's standing to appear at Saints and Sinners Night. We are proud of our after racing entertainment and this is by far the biggest act we have had here.

"Saints and Sinners is already a very special night and having Alexandra here will add even more to what promises to be a wonderful evening."

Billed as 'the biggest party night of the year' Saints and Sinners Night moved to Ayr in 2008 from Hamilton Racecourse and is already one of the best attended meetings in the Ayr calendar.

The charity event raises more than £100,000 each year which is distributed among a host of Scottish charities.
