The entries are in and the judges have decided! It’s time to announce the winner of the 2014 Imprint Writing Awards. A special prize giving event will be held at the Dick Institute on Friday 28th November between 7 and 9pm.

This year there was an open theme which meant that entrants were free to write about any subject that inspired them. This made for some excellent submissions, which can be heard in the author’s own words as shortlisted finalists have been invited to read from their own work. Winners will be announced on the night and prizes presented by Zoe Strachan.

The writing award was launched to help encourage and support emerging Ayrshire writers. Judged by Imprint patron, Zoe Strachan, along with her colleagues at the University of Glasgow’s Edwin Morgan School of Creative Writing, the winner of each category will receive £200 and two runners up for each category will receive £50 each.
