Talented local band WAVE will be performing at A’ the Airts, Upper Nithsdale’s arts centre, on Friday June 27 at 7.30 pm.
Band members Brian Thomson (guitar and vocals), Dave Dryfe (blues harp) Fraser Clark (keyboards and Ben Jerret (drums) will be playing an eclectic mix of numbers by such jazz legends as Jimmy Reed, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Alexis Korner, Robert Johnson, Cyril Davis, Moses Allison and Chuck Berry.
In doing so, they will be bringing their own unique interpretations of many jazz standards and classics.
This is an evening not to be missed, and is sure to be popular. Tickets are a mere £8, and seats can be booked by calling A’ the Airts on 01659 50514, or calling in at 8-12 High Street, Sanquhar.
There is a bar from 7 pm and during the interval. Delicious pre-performance meals will be available in Café @ A’ the Airts from 6pm (booking essential).
