IF you go into the hills this weekend you’re sure of a big surprise.
For that is when Leadhills and Wanlockhead Railway will be holding their Teddy Bears’ Picnic.
Lee Gilmour will be on site on Saturday and Sunday june 21 and 22, telling the history of Leadhills using her Mining Bears, with entertainment and education for children and adults alike.
Children bringing their favourite teddy will get free train rides, and there will be a 'Name the Bear’ competition to win a beautiful Engineer Bear.
The railway will be open from 11am each day, with the first trains running at 11.20am, and the last round trip at 4.20pm.
