East Ayrshire Council's Arts and Museums service is delighted to announce that the Cumnock branch of East Ayrshire Youth Theatre shall be performing Seussical, at the Palace Theatre, Kilmarnock on Saturday 24th October at 7.30pm.
Prepare to be entertained, as your imagination is taken on a journey throughout the magical, mystical world of 'Dr. Seuss'. Meeting along the way all the wonderful colourful Seuss characters, including the unforgettable 'Cat in the Hat!'. Nineteen members of East Ayrshire Youth Theatre (age 8-11years), who meet every Monday night at Cumnock Town Hall will make the trip to delight audiences of Palace Theatre, Kilmarnock.
East Ayrshire Youth Theatre is extremely excited about the performance. Not only does it contain all the fantastical elements one would expect from the mind of Dr. Seuss, but also devised sections from the wonderful minds of our EAYT members. Expect big sassy foot tapping musical numbers and plenty of laughs from this exciting musical adventure.
The Youth Theatre creates an environment where young people feel comfortable and learn through positive experiences, constantly pushing the boundaries of youth theatre and always aiming to cover new and interesting ground. Participants are encouraged to develop to their full potential through workshops, exploring movement, drama and dance and are often involved in creating their own plays and scripts.
Anyone interested in joining the Cumnock branch of EAYT should telephone 01563 578157.
