Literary giants come to Imprint
Organisers of East Ayrshire's book festival Imprint have announced that Stuart Kelly, author and Literary Editor of Scotland on Sunday, will join acclaimed author James Kelman at the Burns Monument Centre event.
James Robertson, poet, editor, novelist and publisher, will also be at appearing at Imprint events in Mauchline Library. James's greatest success to date has been with the best-selling novel The Testament of Gideon Mack (Richard & Judy Book Club) which was published to huge critical acclaim in 2006 and long-listed for the Man Booker Prize.
James Robertson will be at Mauchline library on Tuesday 10th November, from 7.30-9pm. Tickets are £7/£5 concession and are available from Mauchline library.
The future of Scotland and its independence (or not) has been a contentious topic since the Acts of Union in 1707. Recent publication Headshook, edited by Stuart Kelly, challenged 24 of the nation's finest writers to envisage Scotland's future in their very own way. Included in the impressive line-up of contributors was James Kelman, who has been described as "the greatest British novelist of our time".
James Kelman and Stuart Kelly will be at the Burns Monument Centre on Thursday 12th November from 7:30 - 9:00pm and tickets cost £8/£6 concession.
