Earlier this year, East Ayrshire Leisure in partnership with Kilmarnock Harriers proudly hosted Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile Challenge at the Ayrshire Athletics Arena.
More than 160 local people turned out in force on Sunday 23rd March at the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile at the Ayrshire Athletics Arena. Milers of all ages were sponsored to do 1, 3 or 6 miles on the track and surrounding Scott Ellis playing fields.
The sponsorship money has now been counted, checked and verified and the organisers at Sports Relief are now able to share the final fundraising total for The Kilmarnock Mile.
East Ayrshire’s fantastic event raised a whopping £3,508.46 and every single penny of it will be spent by Comic Relief to help disadvantaged people turn their lives around.
