THE FINAL rally of the 2014 Kames season will be the ABR Travel Services Rally on Sunday October 19 when East Ayrshire Car Club will run twelve special stages at the Muirkirk venue, which has the rare facility of spectators being able to watch all the action from the comfort of their cars.
Competitors are expected from all over Scotland and the North of England and there is the usual section for drivers in the 14-17 year old age group who are, of course accompanied by an experienced co-driver. Some of these youngsters are likely to be challenging for outright honours before very long and experts have been impressed by the skills of these stars of tomorrow.
Based on competitor feedback from previous events, a few new routes have been designed and these will be run for the first time at Kames.
Marshaling is a great way to get close to the action, whilst putting something into the sport. You’ll also get your lunch and a contribution to your expenses. Experience isnt necessarily required, so if you can help out please contact Chaz Marsham on chaz@eastayrshirecc.co.uk or 07826 789699 .
As always the cafe will be open, serving hot and cold snacks and drinks throughout the day.
