THESE young local boxers can’t wait to get in to the ring at their Home Show on November 1 in the Volunteer’s Room, Irvine. The five boys fight and train at the renowned Irvine Vineburgh Boxing Club in Irvine, training or five times a week. The three brothers Dylan, Lennon and Oliver from Auchinleck are on their second season at the club. Dylan, after a great end to last season, will be going into his Home Show on a high special after his latest unanimous decision victory defeating Thomas Campbell from Craigmillar ABC at Edinburgh. Lennon is hoping to go one better this year when he narrowly lost a split decision at the Scottish Championships to become Scottish Champion. The youngest of the brothers, Oliver, is yet to be in a competitive fight but will be making his second appearance in the ring in an exhibition fight. Also fighting is Cumnock’s Daniel Girvan.

This will be Daniel’s debut in the ring and with his talent and dedication to training will be a positive start to his amateur boxing career. Also pictured is Auchinleck’s young gun Phoenix McCutcheon who is embarking on his first season with the club.
