AYR Racecourse's second evening meeting of the year - the Champagne G.H. Mumm Ladies Night takes place this Saturday with the first of seven races due off at 5.40 pm.

Up and coming jockeys will feature in the opener - the Champagne G.H. Mumm Cordon Rouge Apprentice Handicap over six furlongs to allow the more senior jockeys time to reach the track from the afternoon meetings that day at Haydock and Redcar.

The feature race of the evening is the EBF / Champagne G.H. Mumm De Cramant Maiden Stakes over seven furlongs for two year olds which is sure to attract some decent youngsters from leading yards.

Jim Goldie and Linda Perratt are having a great season at the Craigie track with seven winners and four winners respectively and both are likely to have several runners each on the night hoping to add to their already impressive tallies and they will be represented in the T. French & Son Handicap over one mile two furlongs at 7.10 pm.

Jockeys likely to be in action include title chasing Paul Hanagan, comeback man Lee Newman and youngsters Ian Brennan, Lee Topliss and Dean Heslop.

Last race on the evening is the Coach House Inn Handicap Stakes at 8.40 pm and there will be entertainment after racing in the shape of top tribute band Take That 2 and a disco until approximately 11.45 pm.

Gates open at 3.40 pm and for further details call 01292-264179 or go online at www.ayr-racecourse.co.uk
