TOMMY Sloan reckons that his side's 6-0 win was inspired by their defeat against Cumnock in the league cup semi final.
The Talbot manager said he was dlighted with the performance as they crushed struggling Arthurlie at Beechwood.
Sloan said: "I'm happy with the way the players reacted to the defeat midweek in the cup.
"We were fluent at times which I don't think nwe've been so far this season and we created numerous chances."
