TALBOT boss Tommy Sloan has strengthened his league winning side by snapping up two more new recruits for next season.

With Mick McCann leaving for Troon, Craig Pettigrew heading for Stranraer and Alan McKenzie recently signing on at Pollok and all on their way out of Beechwood Park Sloan had already secured the services of ex-Ayr Utd man Gordon Pope for his second stint with the club.

Now he has further bolstered his option with the signings of midfielder William Boyd from Largs and centre half Mark Campbell.

And the Premier Division champions don’t look set to stop there with their summer signing spree.

Talbot boss Tommy Sloan said: “We’re still looking for a few fresh faces. I feel that’s always important in the off season so we’re still looking for players that will strengthen the squad.

“We’ve signed a versatile midfielder in William Boyd so that’s always important when your signings can fill in a few different positions and Mark Campbell will be a great signing at the back. Obviously we signed Gordon Pope back a few weeks ago and we know what kind of player he is so he’s another welcome bonus for us.”
