TREBLE YELL: Pope takes the plaudits after sealing his hat-trick at Troon on Saturday

HAT-TRICK hero Gordon Pope admits his Ayrshire Weekly Press Cup Final heroics on Saturday have capped the most memorable season of his career.

Pope, from Catrine, said: "I think that's something like 17 goals I have scored from defence which is my biggest tally in a season."
