Talbot seal AWP Cup Final berth

AUCHINLECK Talbot's thumping 5-1 over Irvine Meadow last night set up an Ayrshire Weekly Press Cup Final with Troon on Saturday.
Four goals from Mick McCann and one from Keir Milliken - both ex-Meadow players - helped Tommy Sloan's men bounce back from Sunday's disappointing Junior Cup Final defeat at the hands of Shotts.
Talbot's Brian McGaritty was ordered off after the break and with no sub keeper on the bench full back Gordon Pope finished the game between the sticks.
His first task was to pick Richie Barr's penalty out of the net but that proved to be nothing more than a consolation as Bot marched on.
Saturday's final kicks off at 2pm at Portland Park, Troon.
