RONNIE CALDWELL has dubbed the last-minute decision to call off Kello Rovers' game with Maybole as "scandalous".

Nithside Park passed a 9.30am pitch inspection on Saturday, giving players and officials from both sides the green light to travel for the top-of-the-table clash.

Caldwell fumed: "The pitch was as near to perfect on Saturday as it possibly could have been."
