Lugar drawn against Meadow in AWP Cup

LUGAR Boswell have been handed a tough home tie with Irvine Meadow in the opening round of the Ayrshire Weekly Press Cup.

If Keith Stewart's men can overcome the Premier Division big guns they will face a second-round visit to Ayrshire District League table-toppers Maybole.

Last week's draw also saw Auchinleck Talbot and Kello Rovers land trips to Dalry Thistle and Annbank respectively.

Glenafton Athletic will meanwhile welcome Irvine Victoria with Cumnock Juniors hosting Largs Thistle.

Muirkirk Juniors and Craigmark Burntonians both received byes into the second round.

The full Round One draw is: Kilbirnie Ladeside v Troon, Glenafton v Irvine Victoria, Darvel v Saltcoats Victoria, Annbank v Kello Rovers, Cumnock v Largs Thistle, Whitletts Victoria v Girvan, Lugar Boswell Thistle v Irvine Meadow, Dalry Thistle v Auchinleck Talbot.

The full Round Two draw is: Annbank/Kello v Dalry Thistle/Auchinleck Talbot, Maybole v Lugar Boswell/Irvine Meadow, Ardrossan Winton Rovers v Darvel/Saltcoats, Craigmark v Glenafton/Irvine Victoria, Kilwinning v Muirkirk, Hurlford United v Beith, Ardeer v Whitletts/Girvan, Kilbirnie Ladeside/Troon v Cumnock/Largs.
