TOMMY Sloan has refused to use a growing injury list as an excuse for his side's stuttering league start.
The Talbot boss was forced into naming himself and coach Derek Anderson as two of only three substitutes in Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Arthurlie.
Sloan, whose side reached the Ardagh Glass Cup final last week before losing their second league game on the trot at the weekend, said: "We have got our problems through injuries but we will not be making excuses."
