GLOVE AFFAIR: Strain left Talbot for Queens Park earlier this month.
By Alistair Neil
TOMMY Sloan has slammed a ruling which has seen Queens Park sign Adam Strain without even watching him play.
The Talbot boss lost last season's number one to the Third Division outfit earlier this month in a move that has left a bitter taste.
SFA rules state a player out of contract at a junior club can move on for free to a senior side, but not to another junior side.
Sloan says the Hampden side were so keen to utilise the ruling they had not even scouted the player.
He said: "Queens Park got him for nothing and took advantage of a ruling that needs looked at.
"Adam was out of contract which meant any senior team could take him for nothing. If he was going to a junior team they would have to pay for him.
"They hadn't even seen him playing which shows it's a monetary thing on their behalf."
