Young guns have the right stuff

MUIRKIRK gaffer Keith Stewart has praised his young side's battling sprit following Saturday's stalemate with Lugar.

Despite propping up their Ardagh Glass Cup table ahead of tonight's final game with Cumnock, Stewart believes the Burnside Park outfit have what it takes to compete in this year's Ayrshire District League.

Stewart said: "We have a young team who are benefiting from these games in the Ardagh Cup against teams like Auchinleck Talbot and Glenafton, and these earlier games contributed to our performance on Saturday."
