CUMNOCK boss Stevie Farrell has warned his players the hardest part about being top of the league is staying there.
Nock roared to the summit of the First Division at the weekend - and have the chance to extend their lead over second place Rutherglen Glencairn on Saturday.
Despite Glens having three games in hand over the Townhead Park outfit, Farrell knows they can put extra pressure on their league rivals with a win over Neilston.
The weekend's 2-0 victory over Dalry extended their unbeaten league run to five games, a run that has also seen them keep three clean sheets in the last four First Division outings.
Farrell is well aware of the stats, and he's laid down the gauntlet to his promotion chasing charges.
He said: "What I said to the players on Saturday was we're top of the league but the hard part is to stay there.
"Everyone is going to want to come and beat us but we have to deal with that pressure.
"It's one game at a time and obviously it would be good to go further ahead this weekend but all we can do is prepare correctly and hopefully we can pick up more valuable points."
