Ayr United Football Academy's under 13 side had an exceptional game this week against Stirling Albion. The side which included three players making their debuts for the team, David Waite, Robbie Mitchell and Dylan Baillie all performed extremely well and can be proud of how they performed during the game, as well as the rest of their teammates.

The team showed great commitment throughout the game and were rewarded for their play with some excellent goals. Sean McKenzie managed to get his name on the score sheet four times, as well as Ryan Wilson, with Scott Mclean and Stephen Thomson netting one a piece. The coaching staff in the under 13 camp were delighted with the performance of all the players.

Throughout the game, the team showed great confidence in one another and this enabled them to play with a greater sense of freedom, allowing them to express themselves properly on the park.

Meanwhile in the SFA Youth Initiative, the Under 14 side put on an entertaining display against Arbroath. They were helped by great performances from Nisbitt, Ahern, Keegan and Vance.

They showed great composure and effort throughout the game against their northern opponents. Ayr scored three great goals during the game, with all three goals coming from some great passing play. Aeden Keegan was the first to get his name on the score sheet when he hit a volley from nearly 25 yards out.

Shaun Vance also tapped home an excellent goal after some superb play set him up for the finish into the net. Mick Ahern also scored a fabulous goal, when he deftly lobbed the ball over an on rushing Arbroath goalkeeper.
