WARM WELCOME: Alan Middleton gets shirty with new boss Lauchlan Millar (left) and assistant Robert Wright.
By Alistair Neil
GLENAFTON midfielder Alan Middleton has been snapped up by promotion hopefuls Lugar Boswell.
Middleton has moved to Lauchlan Millar's outfit in a deal that sees Darren McMahon moving in the opposite direction.
McMahon had a spell at senior level with Stranraer earlier this season but has now opted for a fresh challenge with the First Division side.
Lugar President Kennie Young welcomed the arrival of Middleton and said: "Lauchlan worked with Alan at Craigmark and he actually tried to sign him when he was still at Craigmark.
"Alan's a player he's always admired so the club is delighted to get him on board.
"Darren needed a fresh challenge which he'll get at Glenafton but he goes with the club's best wishes."
Lugar have boosted their ranks further with the acquisition of Brian Wright from Muirkirk.
