CALUM and Lewis Auld are taking sibling rivalry to a new level.

The Cumnock brothers, 10 and eight, both won player of the year for their age group this season, one playing for Auchinleck Talbot and the other for rivals Cumnock.

Lewis only started youth football this year while big brother Calum also won Talbot’s players’ player of the year award.

Mum, Claire Frew, couldn’t help but see the funny side of it. She said: “I’ve got two sons, one aged eight and one aged 10 and they both play football.

“Calum plays for Auchinleck Talbot and Lewis plays for Cumnock and they both won the player of the year award this year.

“It just shows you that the rivalry isn’t as heated as it once was.

“They think it’s great. One of them was a wee bit jealous because they were two weeks apart in getting them but they are both delighted.

“I’m absolutely delighted, really proud of them.

“The wee one just started playing at the start of the year so he’s done really well. Calum also won players’ player of the year as well.”
