CUMNOCK Juniors Community Enterprise (CJCE) ran two successful week-long football camps over the summer.

Over the two camps, approximately 140 boys and girls, aged between two and 12, attended and they all had a ball.

Cumnock Juniors Manager John McKeown and players James Lundie, Stephen McKenna, Kieran Woods and Scott Anson all joined in with the football activities at some point and were impressed by the talent on show.

A CJCE spokesman said: “We would like to thank all the players for their excellent behaviour and sportsmanship as well as many thanks to John McKeown and players for their support.

“We are also grateful to local man Rodger Gibson who supported the Summer Camps through his business Ayrshire Independent MOT.

“Another camp will be organised for the October holidays. In the meantime, there are several football classes running on a weekly basis at Townhead Community Sports Hub.”

Children born in 2011 or 2012: Mondays from 5pm to 6pm during August, then move to a 6pm slot.

Girls under 11: training is between 6pm and 7pm.

Nock Tots, for children aged 2-5: Tuesdays from 5pm to 6pm.

Nock Stars aged 5-12: Wednesdays 5pm to 6pm.
