CUMNOCK girl, Margaret Weir, 20, hopes that routine and technique can be her ally as she tries to add another title to her ever growing collection.
The British Tae Kwon-do champion is gearing up to travel to Estonia with the Scottish team for the European Championships - an event she has won twice before in 2007 and 2008, collecting a bronze at the event last year also.
Margaret, who works in HR for East Ayrshire Council (EAC), speaks modestly of her journey.
She told the Chronicle: "I only lost once last year. It was in the President's Cup Final. My hardest challenge for this tournament will be the world champion who has been drawn in my group.
"She's from Bulgaria, is 28-years old and has much more experience than me." Although she agrees that the World Champion will be her biggest test, Margaret is not phased by what she faces.
She said: "I've beaten a World champion before, so there will be no extra or specific training. I'll just keep training as I always do."
