Cumnock S1 travelled up to Whitecraigs with 15 players on a sunny day.

This was first time Cumnock S1 had played on a full pitch after being minis up till last season. After several times of running forward with good possession Luke Donald got the final ball and ran in the corner to score.

Whitecraigs went forward but just failed to score a try. Cumnock battled out of their own 22. Whitecraigs got the ball back and scored at the end of the first ten minute period.

From the kick off Cumnock made a couple of good passes to Luke who ran in from the half way line.

Whitecraigs took the ball from kick off and ran down the wing to make it 2-2 after 10 minutes.

After the break Whitecraigs, with sonme good passing, scored again out wide, Cumnock came back again with Luke scoring after the 20 minute mark.

In the third period Whitecraigs continued to force the ball wide and scored again.

After several runs forward James scored on wing for Cumnock’s 4th try of the match. Whitecraigs got back up for another two tries to finish the game 7 tries to 4.

Cumnock know this test will show more what Cumnock needs to bring to conference games. Next Sunday Cumnock S1 are playing at Broomfield against West Of Scotland, so why not while at Cumnock Highland Games watch some rugby.
