THIS is the jaw-dropping moment audience members at Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s Glasgow concert desperately pleaded for police to break up a vicious fight between two young women.

The most powerful couple in music hit Hampden Park on Saturday with the second gig date of their UK tour.

Thousands flocked to the stadium to see the husband and wife duo belt out their biggest hits. However, it seems the night did not get off to a good start for some.

A video shot by an audience member in the stands shows trouble kicking off in the standing section before the show even started.

The crowds in the stands can be seen getting to their feet while screaming in the direction of police and stewards as they frantically try to highlight the unrest.

WARNING - Video contains strong language

Despite a heavy police and steward presence in and around the stadium, one man can be heard shouting behind the camera: “Are you going to f****** do anything?”

Two females can be seen punching each other in what’s believed to have been an argument over a spilled drink.

A male steward struggles to keep the women apart as police and extra stewards eventually swarm the pair to break up the fight amid boos from the crowds.

One eyewitness to the fight, who wishes to remain anonymous, told the Evening Times: “I was sitting with my mates waiting for the show to start close to 8pm.

“All of a sudden, there was a huge commotion and everyone was on their feet. We thought the show was about to start, but everyone started saying, ‘Fight, fight.’

“There was a huge steward presence towards the area. The whole thing probably lasted about six minutes.”

Police Scotland confirmed four arrests were made inside the stadium; three women for alleged assault and one man for alleged breach of the peace.

Another woman was arrested outside the venue for alleged alcohol offences.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z gave Glasgow fans a rare glimpse of their twins as their highly-anticipated On The Run II tour got underway in Cardiff last Wednesday.

Screens at the concert displayed a picture of 36-year-old Beyoncé holding Rumi and Sir Carter, who turn one later this month.

Beyonce and Jay-Z, who are also parents to six-year-old daughter Blue Ivy, will perform a string of dates across Europe before taking their tour to North America in July.

It comes four years after their joint On The Run tour.
