A TEENAGER who was found dead in a city centre flat was at a party in Yoker earlier in the day.

Police confirmed that they are investigating the possibility that Zoe Bremner's death may be drugs related.

The 14-year-old Knightswood Academy pupil died in a flat in Dundasvale Court, Cowcaddens at around 12.45am on Sunday, June 11.

The death is currently been treated as unexplained. Zoe's friends, a boy and girl, both 15, were also rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital but they have since been released.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "An investigation is underway with one line of enquiry being that these incidents may be drug related."

Police also said that enquiries so far have revealed that the teenagers were at a party late afternoon in the Yoker area.  They eventually returned Dundasvale Court, later in the evening and contacted emergency services on Sunday morning.

The Evening Times understands that Zoe had just been celebrating her 15th birthday.

Detective Inspector Greig Wilkie, who is based at Govan Police Station, urged for anyone with information to come forward.

The city detective said: “This is very disturbing and our thoughts are with the family at this distressing time.

"We are currently carrying out extensive enquiries in relation to the incident.

"Our investigation will include whether any substances have been a factor in this incident.

"If anyone has any information which could assist our investigation, I would urge them to contact us.”

Anyone with any information or knowledge is asked to contact CID officers at Glasgow City Centre   police station via 101, quoting reference number 307 of 11 June 2017.  Alternatively, please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be given anonymously.
