Consultants, nursing staff, physiotherapists, speech and language and occupational therapists from Ward 4D each donated a selection of food from their own shopping trolleys to local food bank volunteers.
Staff nurse Joanne Halliday, who organised the donation, said: “The thought first came to me at Christmas time when I realised that not everyone is as fortunate as myself and my colleagues. The staff in the unit have been so kind and generous. We hope to be able to support other good causes in the local area in future.”
