TO celebrate Sanquhar’s Day of the Region on Saturday September 13, A’ the Airts, Upper Nithsdale’s arts centre, is looking for digital images of Sanquhar and the surrounding area which showcases not just the town, but the beautiful countryside of Upper Nithsdale.
Do you have any digital photographs which you think could form part of the exhibition? If so, download them onto a memory card or stick and hand them in to the arts centre in the High Street (max. six photos, please). At no cost to you, the photographs will be printed onto glossy A4 paper using a new photo printer funded by Day of the Region.
The arts centre will be mounting an exhibition of the photographs in its gallery until the end of September. Even if you don’t contribute photographs, why not call and have a look round the exhibition once it is up and running?
A spokesperson said: “Upper Nithsdale is stunningly beautiful, and the arts centre wants to showcase all that is best about Sanquhar and its natural environment.” If you need any further information, call in at A’ the Airts reception. The staff will be delighted to answer your questions.
