Chronicle Editor Douglas Skelton was in Ayr last night (Thursday July 24) to talk murder and the supernatural with bestselling author James Oswald.
James was in Waterstones to promote his new book 'Dead Men's Bones', the fourth in his Inspector McLean series.
The title was in the top ten of the Sunday Times bestseller list within days of release - and it's still there.
Douglas, who also writes crime thrillers, has interviewed James before, at a launch in Glasgow, so last night's event went smoothly in front of what James himself has called a small but perfectly-formed audience.
