LUGAR Bowling Club will be hosting a tournament and one of the country’s top function bands will be providing the entertainment in remembrance of a tragic local.
The event will take place this Saturday July 26.
The event is to mark the tragic death of Derek 'Del’ Findlay who died in a road accident on his way to Alton Towers 5 years ago.
From 11am Lugar Bowling Club will be holding their annual open tournament that Del’s family take an interest in, with several local teams set to take part. Del’s family have sponsored the tournament and a good turn out is expected with team competing to win it this year.
Later in the evening there will be sensational entertainment on display from one of Ayrshire’s finest bands.
Highway Wedding Band will be treating the locals to a set of well known hits with their very own take on them. Highway are a professional four piece wedding band based in Ayrshire but perform all over the country at weddings and functions. They will be on stage from 8pm performing an array of Swing classics, chart toppers from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s as well as current hits ensuring that everyone has something to get up and dance to.
