DRONGAN, Rankinston and Stair residents filed into Drongan Primary to discuss the way ahead for their communities.

The public consultation for the five-year Community Led Action Plan was marked not only by the information on hand but also a day of fun and music.

Choirs from Littlemill and Drongan Primaries, as well as music from the Trabboch Fiddlers, made the community event a tuneful day.

And the kids enjoyed other fun, like face painting and balloon modelling.

The event was to allow people to register their views on their top priorities for action over the next five years.

The process took six months of hard work from the steering group, made up of local residents, and supported by East Ayrshire Council Vibrant Communities, who delivered and collected survey responses throughout the community to provide a vision for the future.

The official launch of the final Action Plan is set for Friday August 29.

The Drongan, Rankinston and Stair Community Action Plan Steering Group wish to thank the local businesses, schools, churches and residents who helped on the day.
