BUTTERFLY Events, which raises cash for Cancer Research UK, has handed over a cheque for £4,545.42 to the charity.
This brings their total, since 2007, to £271,530.60.
And they have more fundraising highlights planned for later this year.
On Saturday to Sunday November 22 to 23, they have organised a Christmas Shopping Trip to Cheshire Oaks.
Organiser Lorna Dempsey, from Dalmellington, said: “This will be two days of shopping and lots of fun!” The trip, starting from ayr, costs £90, which includes coach travel by Milligans Coaches, dinner, bed and breakfast.
Lorna warns there are not many spaces left and anyone interested should book fast by emailing admin@butterfly-events.org Sunday October 19 will see one of the most popular events on the group’s calendar.
Lorna said: “We are busy organising this year’s Butterfly Bazaar ladies lunch. This year our theme is Scotland, of course! Book your table now but there are more details to come soon, we are bursting to tell you more!”
