THE Sanquhar and District Silver Band will be participating in the European Festival of Brass 2014 by doing a series of 'pop-up’ concerts in the village.
Taking place on Saturday, April 26, the series of performances starts at 10am at the Kirkconnel War Memorial before they move to Kirkconnel Miners Welfare at 10.30am.
The Euchan Well is their next destination at 11.15am, before they perform at the Sanquhar War Memorial at 11.50.
The hard-working band are then at Sanquhar Post Office from 12.20, then Mennock War Memorial at 12.50 before heading for Wanlockhead Mining Museum at 1.30.
A brilliant weekend of music is completed with the Spring Concert on Sunday April 27 at 7pm in Sanquhar Town Hall with tickets costing £3. All proceeds donated to the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland.
