KIDS at Mauchline Primary School have been given the chance to become more eco-friendly.
The children learned about eco-friendly transport when Stewart Cross of the Renault Uk events team dropped in with two electric cars to discuss the advances in the car industry.
The cars on display were the Renault Zoe and the Renault Twizzy, provided by Park’s Motor Group, Ayr.
Stewart spoke to the kids about why electric cars are better for the environment and the differences between electric cars and cars that run on fuel.
The pupils also invited East Ayrshire Council Road Safety Officer, Mrs Sutcliffe, to talk about more environmentally friendly ways of getting to school.
The whole school had been taking part in “The Big Pedal” early in March and been encouraged to get cycling to school.
