CUMNOCK’S Lochside House Hotel and Spa is in the running to scoop a top hotel gong.

The hotel, named the 2013 Scottish Entertainment Awards Best Hotel Spa/Leisure Resort, is nominated to take another top award.

At the third Annual Scottish Entertainment Awards, Lochside House Hotel and Spa is a finalist in two categories, Scotland’s Best Independent Hotel and Most Romantic Hotel.

The venue had success in 2013, winning the award of Best Wedding Venue in Scotland at the VOWS (Very Outstanding Wedding Service) Awards. This is the fourth time Lochside has been recognised at this event, having won Best Wedding Venue in 2010, 2012 and BEST Venue Co-Ordinator (Lynsey Hewitson) in 2009.

Parent company, The RAD Group, is the first company to have four venues makes the final’s.

It is the only event where the public gets to vote for their favourite venues. The top five venues from each category with the most votes qualify for the VIP final. On making the shortlist, an independent judging panel visits each of the finalists marking them on specific criteria.

The RAD Group is also up for Best In-House Marketing Team and their venue The Royal Sports bar is also up for Best Community Pub.

Robert Kyle, pictured above, Managing Director, said of the Entertainment Awards: “To be finalists in four categories across the Group is fantastic. I would like to give a huge thanks to everyone who voted for us, the support of our customers is incredible. Hopefully with our staff’s continued hard work we can bring the awards home.” This year’s final will take place on Sunday May 18 in a glittering dinner at Glasgow’s Crowne Plaza Hotel then over to Glasgow’s Clyde Auditorium where Capital FM’s Des Clark will host a Variety Show.
